A nonprofit organization in College Park seeks a Director of Operations and Housing Initiatives. This strategic leader will oversee housing initiatives, manage finances, and engage with the community to promote affordable housing. The role combines operational management with community engagement, requiring experience in nonprofit leadership and financial oversight.
Founded in 1997, the College Park City-University Partnership is a nonprofit local development corporation funded by the City of College Park and the University of Maryland. Our mission is to support the economic welfare of the city and university through community development, transportation, education, and housing programs. We aim to make College Park a more thriving, equitable, and sustainable place for all.
In 2022, the Partnership launched the Community Preservation Trust, a certified Maryland Affordable Housing Land Trust. The Trust provides permanently affordable homeownership opportunities for income-eligible individuals and families who wish to live in College Park, offering a shared-equity homeownership model to address rising housing costs.
Position Title: Director of Operations and Housing Initiatives
The College Park City-University Partnership is seeking a strategic, mission-oriented leader to serve as the Director of Housing Initiatives and Operations. This senior-level position reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a dual role: leading the implementation of the Community Preservation Trust and managing the organization’s finances, grants, and operations. The ideal candidate will bring experience in affordable housing, real estate transactions, nonprofit financial management, and community collaboration.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. A higher range may be considered for candidates with significant expertise in both affordable housing development and nonprofit financial leadership. The Partnership offers a competitive benefits package with vacation, sick and holiday leave, medical, dental and vision insurance, and 401(k).
