Job summary

Arts Bonita seeks an experienced Operations Director to strengthen systems, facilities, and daily operations across two campuses. Reporting to the President & CEO, you will lead staff, implement policies and operational systems to improve efficiency and accountability.

The role focuses on developing and implementing policies, procedures, and budgets, while coordinating resources with Finance and IT. This is a senior nonprofit leadership opportunity in a growing arts organization.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive experience in operations, administration, facilities, or related leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Proven success developing and implementing operational policies and processes.
• Experience supervising staff, managing projects and budgets, coordinating vendors.
• Knowledge of facility operations, scheduling, equipment management, and event logistics.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and operational software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and workflows to clarify responsibilities and improve efficiency.
• Train staff, maintain manuals, and establish project tracking and measurable goals.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, security, scheduling, space utilization, and equipment across two campuses.
• Supervise the Facilities Manager and front desk, concessions, operations, and support staff.
• Coordinate operational support for classes, performances, exhibitions, festivals, rentals, and fundraising events.
• Manage artist contracts, hospitality, rental agreements, and service contracts.
• Develop and monitor operating budgets, control costs, and coordinate purchasing with Finance Director.
• Participate in campus planning and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain safety procedures, emergency response, hurricane preparedness, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with department leaders, HR support, and the IT Director on staffing and secure records.
