GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Must have previous experience working in K-12 Public Education. Responsible for managing and improving all school operations, including payroll, purchasing, account coding, human resources, inventory, meal program, and IT. The Director of Business Operations reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with the NursesMC CMO, overseeing financial implications in decision-making.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Management:
  • Manage vendor files and relationships for services such as copiers, postage, food service, custodial, security, and cell phones.
  • Review and oversee vendor/management agreements/contracts for accuracy and scope of work.
  • Manage student transportation, including scheduling buses for trips and athletic events, and work with the Office Manager on RIPTA passes.
  • Assist in managing the school's food service program, ensuring proper record-keeping and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and manage risk-related incidents and reports.
Facilities:
  • Create and maintain classroom systems, conduct building walkthroughs, and manage maintenance vendors.
  • Ensure procedures for preventative maintenance, asbestos management, OSHA compliance, and emergency plans are in place.
Human Resources:
  • Maintain accurate records, manage benefits enrollment, and ensure legal postings.
  • Manage HRIS system, leave management, workers' compensation claims, and employee paperwork.
  • Track employee attendance and generate reports.
Inventory Management:
  • Maintain inventory of technology and assets, ensure secure storage, and report in the business system.
  • Meet deadlines for grant compliance and financial reporting.
Meal Program:
  • Coordinate meal setup, ensure federal guidelines are followed, and manage enrollment and reimbursement processes.
  • Process payroll and reimbursements, reconcile bills, and manage retirement contributions.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Promote the school's core values and model professional behavior.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and foster a positive, equitable school culture.
  • Oversee logistical systems and manage key staff positions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Benefits include 401(k), health, life, and vision insurance, and paid time off.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 2 years in charter school management preferred.

Location: Nashville, TN 37203. Relocation required before starting.
