Director of Nursing - Telemetry | Richmond, VA

Primary Function

The Nurse Director is responsible for the integration, facilitation, and coordination of administrative and clinical practice for the assigned nursing unit(s) with twenty-four hour accountability. Provides management and clinical support to other nursing units and the entire hospital as needed. Acts as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource/educator for nurses and healthcare team members. Develops unit goals based on clinical and managerial analysis to improve patient outcomes and foster a culture of excellence. Serves as the liaison for the unit and participates in budget development, monitoring, and product line development in collaboration with relevant teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN or higher required, MSN preferred. Current RN license from Virginia required.
• Specialty or leadership certification preferred.
• Membership in professional organizations is a plus.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Typically requires 3-5 years of progressive nursing experience, including supervisory or charge nurse roles, with knowledge of clinical practices, financial management, and personnel supervision.
