Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Director of Staff Development in Poway, CA. The role involves planning and implementing orientation, ongoing education, and certification training for nursing staff, in collaboration with the DON and Administrator.

The DSD will also provide direct resident care and supervise staff to ensure high-quality care. The ideal candidate holds an RN license (LVN/LPN acceptable) with BSN preferred, and brings experience in long-term care education programs and regulatory

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and possession of a valid RN or LVN/LPN license.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of direct patient care in a long-term care facility, plus one year planning/ evaluating education programs.
• Two or more years of experience preferred, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and hiring of staff.
• Coordinate employment documentation and payroll/benefits.
• Plan, conduct, and document in-service education programs.
• Provide direct resident/patient care and supervise staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance.
