Qualifications

• Current California LVN or RN license.
• Minimum two years as a licensed nurse.
• At least one year planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education.
• If no planning experience, 24 hours CE certificates in nursing education within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervises orientation for all facility personnel.
• Provides in-service nursing and facility education per guidelines.
• Maintains yearly nursing staff competence assessment records.
• Coordinates guest speakers from labs, physicians, pharmacists, and others.
• Manages facility yearly in-service calendar.
• Participates in infection control and performance improvement activities.
• Ensures appropriate staff to patient ratios; acts as resource nurse.
• Reviews/updates facility policies per state/federal rules.
