Job summary

Canyon Springs Post Acute, part of PACS Group, seeks a Director of Staff Development (DSD) – LVN in San Jose, CA. Lead facility-wide staff education, orientation, and in-service programs to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The DSD partners with the DON and Administrator to oversee training calendars, documentation, and competency programs, while supporting staff supervision and performance improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and implement staff orientation and ongoing education programs.
• Plan and conduct in-service training to ensure staff competency and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare annual training schedules and monthly calendars.
• Maintain documentation of staff education and training.
• Identify educational needs through rounds, evaluations, surveys, and regulations.
• Coordinate infection control surveillance and staff education initiatives.
• Assist with staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
