Job summary

Washington Care Center in Seattle is seeking a Director of Nursing to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the facility’s nursing department according to federal, state, and local standards to ensure the highest quality care.

The role requires RN licensure, 2+ years in geriatric nursing plus supervisory experience, and strong leadership to manage budgets, staffing, training, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2+ years working in geriatric nursing.
• 2+ years in supervisory/management position, including budgets, staff development, scheduling.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the nursing department operations.
• Ensure adequate staff to meet resident care and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards and protect resident and staff information.
• Oversee safety procedures and company policies.
• Mentor, train and supervise RN, LPN, CNA staff and ensure program adherence.
• Keep Executive Director informed of resident, staffing, and service plan changes.
• Attend CEU programs and participate in staff trainings and meetings.
