Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with BSN (preferred).
• Current licensure in the state and ongoing CE requirements.
• Minimum 7 years of nurse management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful care.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Coordinate pharmacy services and medication destruction.
• Budgeting and reporting for the department.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning.
• Participate in QA, utilization review and patient care conferences.
• Assist with state surveys and follow-up activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and provide hands-on resident care as needed.
