Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, is seeking a Clinical Director to manage day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, oversee the nursing staff, and serve as a liaison between staff and hospital departments.

The role emphasizes budget monitoring, staff development, patient flow improvement, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license required.
• Minimum of charge or supervisory experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees that all staff carry out duties safely, timely, and compassionately, including direct patient care when needed.
• Partners with Administrators on budget preparation and monitors budget trends.
• Evaluates and coaches staff; initiates corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians to improve patient experience and flow; optimizes staffing and operations.
• Communicates with physicians and management to resolve issues promptly.
• Ensures policy compliance and regulatory adherence; supports continuous quality improvement.
• Promotes a safe environment for staff and patients.
• Maintains high quality patient care and implements changes when warranted.
• Aims to meet all quality metrics for the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
