Job summary

The role ensures compliance with performance improvement processes and regulatory bodies, while driving an effective patient care delivery system aligned with standards of practice.

You will lead hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations, oversee payroll processes, and develop direct reports.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of nursing experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role in an acute care hospital.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• AHA Basic Life Support.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
• Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Understanding of patient classification and staffing requirements for the patient population.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT: Develops and implements plans and goals aligning with organizational objectives.
• HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Manages staffing, staffing levels, credentialing, orientation, evaluation, and performance coaching.
• Provides leadership and oversight when supervisor is absent to ensure department continuity.
• FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Analyzes financial performance and controls operating expenses.
• CLINICAL PRACTICE KNOWLEDGE: Ensures compliance with policies, regulations, and HIPAA; maintains clinical standards.
• PATIENT SAFETY, QUALITY, AND PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT: Oversees quality initiatives and improvement data.
• CUSTOMER AND PATIENT ENGAGEMENT: Ensures patient satisfaction and handles escalated concerns.
