Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Laredo in Laredo, TX, is seeking a Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of their nursing unit. The Director will supervise the nursing staff and act as an administrative liaison between staff, hospital departments, physicians, and administration.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe, timely, compassionate patient care, assisting with annual budget preparation, and driving continuous improvement to meet quality metrics. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Texas RN License is required.
• Previous charge or supervisory experience is required.
• Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the unit and supervise nursing staff.
• Serve as administrative liaison between staff, hospital departments, physicians and administration.
• Ensure staff deliver safe, timely, compassionate patient care.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor operating budget trends.
• Address staff performance, coaching and corrective actions as needed.
• Promote patient safety and quality care, and meet department quality metrics.
• Communicate with physicians and management to resolve issues quickly.
