This position is for Aurora Manor Special Care Centre located at 101 South Bissell Road, Aurora, OH 44333.

Position Summary:

As the Director of Nursing, you will organize, develop, manage, and direct the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. You will work directly with the Administrator and Medical Director to ensure the highest quality of care for each resident at all times. You will follow all health, sanitary, and infection control policies and maintain standards set by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license within the state of practice.
  • Must have a current CPR certification.
  • Infection control certification is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with supervisors, co-workers, and community leadership.
  • Observe proper safety and sanitary techniques.
  • Work hours as scheduled based on position requirements.
  • Must not pose a threat to the health and safety of others.

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing community, or related healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
