Qualifications

  • Must have a current Registered Nursing license in Ohio.

We are seeking an individual who is Committed, Kind, Knowledgeable and Respectful to assume the Director of Nursing (RN) and be a part of an excellent nurse management team.

Summary:

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Director of Nursing (RN) is charged with the overall operation of Nursing Care and has 24-hour responsibility to organize, supervise and direct the operation of Nursing Care. Develops and implements a resident centered care service model which integrates the concept of choices, privacy, dignity, individuality, and home-like environment. Provides, directs and coordinates the provision of nursing care, professional, and support services to the residents who reside in NC; markets the program, and participates in continued professional development. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nursing license to practice as a licensed nurse in the State of Ohio
  • At least two (2) year’s experience in supervisory position providing services to the elderly, preferably experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
  • Current BLS certification
  • Participates in nurse on-call rotation with ADONs
  • Good physical and mental health.
  • Possesses the necessary dexterity to perform injections, IVS, etc.
  • Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
  • Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day.
  • Must work objectively and compassionately with residents, families and public on personal basis.
  • Demonstrates effective communication & problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with and lead nursing staff.
  • Demonstrates evidence of strong leadership abilities, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable of principles of growth and development for the entire life span with the ability to provide care appropriate for the adult and geriatric residents.
  • Proven ability to manage and supervise nursing staff.
  • Demonstrates evidence of strong leadership abilities, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable of principles of growth and development for the entire life span with the ability to provide care appropriate for the adult and geriatric residents.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and e-mail or willingness to learn.
