Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Perrysburg, OH seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Services department, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance. The role reports to the Administrator and oversees unit managers, charge nurses, and CNAs.

Responsibilities include planning and directing operations, coordinating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, managing budgets, and guiding QAPI initiatives to improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws and guidelines.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement and direct the Nursing Services department in line with state and federal regulations.
• Interpret and communicate policies to nursing staff and monitor practices.
• Participate in admissions decisions.
• Lead and attend management team meetings to discuss census, resident changes, and concerns.
• Evaluate nursing staff performance and enforce disciplinary actions per policy.
• Contribute to QAPI or facility assessments as needed.
• Facilitate committees and promote teamwork and communication.
• Ensure safe, compassionate care and adequate staff coverage on units.
