One Brooklyn Health System Inc. seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department and collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to set standards of care and drive performance improvement across the organization.

The role includes supervising nursing leadership, planning staffing, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with NYSDOH, JCAHO and other regulators, while fostering professional growth and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BSN from accredited nursing school.
• Master’s degree in nursing or related field; Doctorate preferred.
• New York State RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Participates with the CNO and nursing staff in establishing goals for the Nursing Department.
• Monitors staffing planning to ensure safe patient care.
• Ensures staffing plans, recruitment and retention practices to retain qualified staff.
• Supervises Assistant Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers and Administrative Nursing Coordinators.
• Ensures compliance with NYSDOH, JCAHO and other regulators.
