Job summary

One Brooklyn Health System Inc. seeks an experienced nursing leader to manage the Emergency Department's Nursing Services. The role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, communicates policies, and guides staff performance and quality initiatives.

You will collaborate with CNO and nursing leadership to plan and direct programs, supervise staffing, budgets and patient care services, and address patient and family concerns with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum three years nursing leadership experience.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day operations of Nursing Services in the emergency department.
• Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff.
• Monitors staff practices and ensures quality of care is embedded in clinical practice.
• Participates in admission decisions as indicated.
• Develops and monitors quality/performance improvement programs.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to manage staffing, budgets and operational metrics.
