Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC represents a community hospital seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee daily hospital-wide nursing operations, supervise seven departmental directors, and ensure high-quality patient care. This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and requires strong leadership, budgeting, and policy execution.

Candidates should have a BSN (MSN preferred) and 3+ years in nursing management, with the ability to provide direct patient care when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years recent Nursing Management/Supervision with 24-hour accountability.
• Oversight of FTE, policy and budgetary responsibilities.
• Ability to provide direct patient care when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations hospital-wide.
• Direct reports include directors for Med/Surg, Surgery, Critical Care, OB, Emergency, NICU and Nursing Education.
• Unit oversight includes the cardiac unit.
• Utilize EHR Cerner and contribute to patient experience metrics.
• Manage budgets and staffing plans in partnership with CNO.

Community hospital looking to bring on Director of Nursing! Bonus Incentive Program and Relocation!

• Daily nursing operations, hospital-wide
• Direct reports department directors for Med/Surg, Surgery, Critical Care, OB, Emergency, NICU and Nursing Education (7)
• Unit oversight directly oversees the cardiac unit
• A financially strong, growing system: new 30-bed tower, expanded critical care, renovated emergency department, Level II NICU
• Must be prepared to provide direct patient care when needed
• Average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• EHR Cerner
• Press Ganey patient experience; quality and service scorecards; budgets; staffing plans
• Reports to CNO

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Masters preferred
• 3+ years recent Nursing Management/Supervision experience with responsibilities include such as 24-hour accountability, FTE management, policy, procedure, and budgetary oversight, and conducting disciplinary action
