Job summary

X-energy is seeking a Director of Customer Relationship Management for its Global Business Development team in Gaithersburg, MD. The role leads market segment efforts to identify and engage potential utilities customers, shaping requirements and value propositions to qualify opportunities.

The position requires deep experience in nuclear/electric power development, a strong sales and account management background, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or related technical field; MBA preferred.
• 10 plus years in nuclear or electric power generation sector project development, sales/business development, account management industries/manufacturing.
• Expert level knowledge of the sales cycle in nuclear power, electric utility, industrial or process industries.
• Proven subject matter expertise relevant to nuclear new build programs for electricity or industrial heat production.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, develops, and manages potential customer relationships.
• Plans, manages, and achieves customer goals and objectives for assigned customers.
• Leads engagement with assigned customer(s).
• Develops, supports, and implements market, customer relationship plan.
• Advises business development leadership on key customer priorities and objectives.
• Gathers customer intelligence to identify needs and value proposition.
• Communicates customer value propositions to leadership and stakeholders.
• Directs and manages responses to customer requests, including workshops and RFPs.
• Supports capture activities and proposal development.
• Manages one or more Business Development Managers.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
