Job Summary: The Director of National Sales is a hands-on player who owns customer relationships from lead through ongoing operational customer. This role will be a part of a national sales team who meets and exceeds sales revenue expectations, sales profitability and budgetary objectives and enhances the overall customer experience. Success in this position is demonstrated by building life-of-client relationships with new clients and sources of revenue, driving new clients to the division by sourcing leads and opportunities and shepherding those through contract to close and operational launch.

Major Areas Of Responsibility

  • Achieves a sales funnel with the ability to forecast and measure performance from lead generation to close
  • Provides competitive intelligence and segment insights, highlighting opportunities for growth. Develops a lead nurturing program qualifying prospects
  • Independently evaluates customer opportunities, works collaboratively with cross-functional organizational teams to develop tactics and relationships to support the sales cycle through contract close and launch
  • Foresees, interprets, and responds to market changes by adjusting strategies and priorities
  • Brings available products and services to market at the agreed-upon pricing, facilitates customer sales cycle, and works with internal partners for client launch
  • Manages customer relationships post-launch, collaborates with teams to ensure customer success and division goals
  • Follows a sales plan and meets/exceeds expectations
  • Acts as an evangelist for the company’s culture, brand, and objectives
  • Manages customer expectations, contributes to customer satisfaction and experience, and ensures smooth transition from sales to operations
  • Creates new leads through industry relationships, conferences, and inbound inquiries; manages lead database and prioritizes sales activities
  • Owns the sales cycle, contract close, launch, and relationship retention from lead generation, empathizing with customer needs
  • Learns about customer’s business to provide strategic input and maximize value
  • Coaches customer teams on deployment and enterprise enablement
  • Acts as a trusted point of contact, defines success plans, and ensures communication across stakeholders
  • Provides leadership and expertise to drive behaviors and alignment for sustainable success
  • Maintains high customer engagement focused on outcomes, satisfaction, and loyalty
  • Attends industry events to create brand awareness and leads
  • Promotes customer success stories and drives references and case studies

Education And Experience

  • 5+ years in customer acquisition, success, and revenue roles, preferably in mortgage, fintech, proptech, title insurance, or real estate
  • 3-5+ years in customer-facing roles managing large organizations
  • Proven credibility with stakeholders and decision makers in fast-paced environments
  • Self-motivated, innovative sales professional with a strong track record
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
