Job summary

SEARHC in Juneau, AK seeks an Assistant Nursing Manager for Primary Care to lead nursing staff, participate in direct patient care as needed, and oversee orientation, competency, and quality of care. The role plans schedules, ensures standard of care, and coordinates with providers to support efficient clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from accredited program.
• Active Alaska RN license (or eligible).
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED requirement.
• Clinical competency within 3 months and every 3 years.
• Managerial competency within 3 months and every 3 years.
• High Risk Competency within 3 months and annually.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care in Primary Care as needed.
• Supervises nursing orientation and staff development.
• Plans and coordinates nursing staff scheduling for efficient clinic flow.
• Ensures nursing standards and care processes are followed.
• Maintains competencies and oversees documentation and teaching.
• Represents nursing on care team committees and supports quality measures.
