Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of Merchandising Operations, Business Acceleration, to drive data-driven strategies that improve performance across assortment, placement, pricing and promotions. You will lead a team of senior managers and analysts, partnering with Merchandising leadership to deliver insights and growth.

The role requires strong communication, executive presence and the ability to operate in ambiguity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience ideally in: Management Consulting, Retail/CPG, or Banking/Private Equity
• Experience in Retail Category Management, CPG, or Vendor Management with impact
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with tools such as Tableau, SQL, VBA, Python, SAP, SAP BI, Teradata or Oracle is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team
• Assess SKU/Vendor/Brand/Promotional incrementality; benchmark space, brands, and assortment; analyze market, customer and vendor insights
• Build strategy using data tools to support vendor negotiations
• Advise Category Manager partners on vendor agreements and contracts
• Conduct complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Excel and other platforms (Tableau)
• Develop annual plans and budgets for category strategy and profit improvement
• Design pilots and deploy in stores to measure impact using Test & Learn
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Store Ops, Finance to expand initiatives
• Engage Enterprise Teams to ID synergies and drive growth
