The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Programs Director to lead youth development, healthy living and social responsibility initiatives across the center. You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets, and collaborate with community partners to deliver high-impact programs.

You will also drive member engagement, coordinate registrations, oversee safety compliance, and contribute to fundraising activities while fostering a welcoming, family-friendly environment for all members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent.
• Two to three years related programming experience in a non-profit environment preferred.
• Minimum age requirements of 21 years old.
• Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
• Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral) with children and adults.
• Desire to work with children and families and the ability to relate to them in a positive, patient, sensitive and non-judgmental manner.
• Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of Compliance and safety training, CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.

Responsabilités

• Develops high quality programs through innovative program development.
• Reviews and ensures programs comply with YMCA standards and health regulations.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and directs staff and volunteers; evaluates performance.
• Assists in marketing and manages program registrations and social media planning.
• Manages program budgets and monitors registrations and accounts receivable; purchases supplies.
• Supports fundraising activities and member inquiries; monitors program effectiveness.
