Job summary

The Kandiyohi County Area Family YMCA is seeking a community-focused leader to serve as our Member and Community Engagement Director. This role provides strategic leadership for membership growth, member engagement, community partnerships, marketing collaboration, and fundraising to advance the YMCA's mission.

You will oversee membership operations, build relationships with schools, healthcare, civic groups, donors, and government agencies, and promote the Y's impact throughout the Willmar area.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience required.

• Ability to multitask in person and within programs on a computer.

Responsibilities

• Implement membership strategies to recruit and retain members.
• Create and maintain a welcoming member service desk.
• Recruit, supervise, develop, and evaluate staff and volunteers; foster excellence and accountability.
• Develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
• Establish new program activities and expand programs within the community.
• Assist in marketing and distribution of program information; process scholarship apps.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Assist in fundraising and annual campaign activities.
