Job summary

The American Association for Justice (AAJ) seeks a Director, Meeting Operations for its Meetings & Conventions department in Washington, DC. You will direct logistics for AAJ Conventions and events, manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships, and ensure high-quality attendee experiences.

The role requires a CMP and a minimum of 10 years in meeting planning; hybrid work with onsite Tue-Thu and remote August; salary range $130,000–$150,000 yearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in meeting planning.
• Experience working with associations and nonprofits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site operations for AAJ conventions and meetings.
• Negotiate contracts with venues, hotels, and vendors.
• Develop timelines, budgets, and event P&Ls.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Marketing, Education, and Membership.
• Ensure exceptional attendee experiences from registration to post-event follow-up.
• Lead and mentor the Meetings & Registration team.
