Job summary

The American Association for Justice seeks a Senior Director of Education to lead AAJ’s continuing legal education programs and the Education department. You will work with the NCA Board of Trustees, advise on content, and manage budgets and staff to deliver high-impact CLE experiences.

You will drive strategic initiatives, recruit top faculty, and coordinate with marketing, membership, and other departments to expand member education and engagement.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in professional content development, membership, or association leadership.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, budgetary, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate strategically and lead continuing legal education programs.
• Experience with board governance and committee collaboration.
• Clear written and oral communication; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Education department staff and collaborate with NCA faculty and trustees.
• Direct long-range planning, policy, and evaluation of CLE programs.
• Develop CLE content and research competing providers for comparison.
• Conduct member needs assessments and recruit high-profile faculty.
• Monitor budgets and sponsorship/exhibitor opportunities with cross-department teams.
• Foster relationships with state TLAs, AAJ member groups, and vendors.
• Evaluate learning technologies and contemporary delivery methods (e-learning, webinars).
• Present reports on the Education department to the NCA Board and AAJ leadership.
