The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is seeking a Senior Director, Conference Operations to lead the operational planning and on-the-ground execution of the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design in Washington, DC. You will manage venue, vendor, logistics, and attendee experience to ensure the program is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Events, you will oversee budgets, staffing, housing, sponsorship fulfillment, and vendor

• Demonstrated experience managing and planning successful events, meetings and conventions.
• Ability to manage complex budgets and strategic plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with a customer service focus.

Responsabilidades

• Translate conference leadership vision into an executable plan and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee vendor relationships to ensure deliverables meet contracts and ROI.
• Lead the annual event review process and align with strategic priorities.
• Manage conference staffing, housing, and budget with cross-functional teams.
• Develop housing strategies and manage day-to-day housing operations.
