Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services in Richmond to lead credentialing and governance across the facility.

You will develop credentialing policies, coordinate leadership councils, oversee CPC interactions, and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. You will also manage annual business plans, prepare reports for officers, and educate administrators on CPC operations and MSSD processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical staff services or related field; Equivalent training may apply.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in acute care hospital or credentialing organization; at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, privileging, and regulatory standards; familiarity with CPC policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop facility credentialing policies in line with accreditation standards and bylaws.
• Coordinate committees and leadership council meetings; manage agendas and minutes.
• Maintain emergency call schedule and records for call compensation.
• Prepare credentialing reports for medical staff leaders and governing body.
• Develop governance documents and implement annual reviews for medical staff.
