Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL is seeking a Director of Medical Staff Services to lead the medical staff office and coordinate credentialing activities. The role serves as the primary liaison with the Credential Processing Center to ensure policy adherence and regulatory compliance.

You will manage confidential records, oversee staff meetings, and ensure the credentialing program aligns with Joint Commission standards while supporting hospital bylaws and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
• CPMSM and/or CPCS certification preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in a medical staff office.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Previous credentialing and management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of The Joint Commission accreditation process and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure confidentiality of medical staff committee records (credentials files, meeting minutes).
• Oversee administrative schedules and medical staff meetings; assist medical staff officers with bylaws, rules and regulations.
• Ensure MSO and credentialing program comply with Medical Staff standards and accreditation standards.
• Interpret and follow regulatory guidelines, by lawm bylaws, fair hearing plan and policies.
• Oversee development and evaluation of the physician orientation program.
