Job summary

UCI Health in Irvine, CA, seeks a Director of Medical Staff to lead operational and administrative functions across credentialing, privileging, peer review, and medical staff governance. You will ensure compliant administration of all medical staff processes in alignment with regulatory standards.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will develop policies, oversee performance improvement initiatives, and mentor colleagues across medical staff services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in credentialing medical staff.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a management leadership role.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of progressive management responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• CPCS and/or CPMSM Certified.
• Strong knowledge of Joint Commission JCAHO, NCQA, and Title 22 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee credentialing, privileging, peer review, and medical staff governance support.
• Ensure compliant administration of all medical staff processes in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement medical staff policies and procedures, quality initiatives.
• Provide direct supervision, training, performance management of staff.
• Collaborate with Chief Medical Officer, legal, compliance, and administration to manage risk.
