Job summary

University of California, Irvine Health seeks an Inpatient Service Line Manager to lead administrative and operational management for hospital-based specialty care programs. You will partner with leadership, Medical Directors, physicians, APPs and other stakeholders to support development, implementation and ongoing management of inpatient programs.

You will oversee workforce planning, recruitment, payroll, financial performance and service line growth, ensuring efficient coverage, cost control

Qualifications

• BA/BS or advanced degree in Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business, HR, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in advanced management/leadership in an academic healthcare or clinical environment.
• Cost accounting and finance administration experience (2+ years).
• Ability to interact with physicians, faculty, and administrative leaders with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physician and APP workforce planning, scheduling and coverage models.
• Manage payroll and compensation administration, operational and financial performance.
• Support development and expansion of inpatient service lines and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze complex operational issues and implement process improvements.
