Job summary

UCI Health is seeking an accomplished executive to lead the healthcare compliance, privacy and research compliance programs for the Health system and UC Irvine School of Medicine. You will partner with executive leadership to develop and evaluate compliance controls across hospitals, clinics and affiliates.

The role demands deep knowledge of federal/state healthcare regulations, strong negotiation and cross-functional leadership, and the ability to drive enterprise-wide compliance initiatives

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an executive leadership role in inpatient healthcare
• 10+ years of progressive management responsibility
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, HIPAA and state privacy rules
• Experience as Chief Compliance Officer or equivalent in a mid-large health system
• Ability to communicate compliance and privacy concepts to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead healthcare, research and privacy compliance programs across Health and SOM
• Develop and evaluate compliance controls, policies and protocols
• Oversee hospitals, clinics and affiliates' compliance and privacy oversight
• Align regulatory requirements with operational practices and industry trends
• Provide strategic direction and governance for enterprise compliance efforts
