Job summary

Fortify Technical Staffing seeks a Director of Mechanical Engineering/Team Lead in the Bay Area. You will lead a team of engineers, run client-facing projects, and be responsible for mechanical design across varied building types.

Your role includes scope definition, design development, and coordination of multi-discipline resources. The ideal candidate has 3+ years post‑Bachelors experience in mechanical or architectural engineering, with proficiency in REVIT/AutoCAD and energy modeling tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience post Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or similar.
• Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and energy modeling tools (Trane Trace, HAP, IES VE).

Responsibilities

• Define and confirm project scopes of work with clients.
• Perform field surveys, calculations, codes review, and develop conceptual and detailed designs.
• Coordinate design resources, lead project deliverables, and manage team activities.
