Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead based in Oakland or San Francisco to steer a Bay Area mechanical team on complex building projects. You will design HVAC systems, mentor mid-level and junior staff, and coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and equipment suppliers to deliver contract documents.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, a California PE license, and 8+ years of related experience (12+ preferred).

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical systems design (EOR of contract documents).
• Mentor engineers in the Bay Area team.
• Develop project fee proposals detailing scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, technology and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files.
• Evaluate staffing requirements, analyze problems, and write reports.
• Lead client meetings regarding engineering systems and maintain client relations.
• Identify prospective clients and support marketing to develop future projects.
