Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Sr Project Engineer, Team Lead-Mechanical in the Oakland/San Jose/San Francisco, CA area. The role focuses on mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection on commercial, institutional and infrastructure projects, leading from concept through construction close-out.

The candidate will coordinate teams, deliver technical direction, and produce reports and presentations. A PE license and 10+ years of experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BlueBeam are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering license (PE) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, BlueBeam.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts on a variety of projects from concept to final construction close-out.
• Coordinate design development and provide technical direction to project team members.
• Completes mechanical designs with minimal direction.
• Writes technical reports and creates presentations of findings.
• Strong communication of results in presentations and meetings.
