Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Director of Materials Development & Pathfinding at Albany Nanotech in Albany, NY.

You will lead the materials strategy, roadmap, and a world-class team advancing ALD, CVD, and other semiconductor materials to support future memory technologies. Reporting to senior technology leadership, you will collaborate with university partners and equipment suppliers, drive technology readiness, and nurture a culture of innovation and execution to accelerate

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
15+ years of semiconductor technology development experience.
Deep technical expertise in ALD, CVD, Thin Films, Diffusion, Epitaxy.
Validated experience leading technical organizations and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Strong understanding of process integration and semiconductor materials interactions.

Responsibilities

Define and implement long-term materials development and pathfinding roadmap aligned to DRAM, NAND, CMOS, BEOL, Photonics.
Lead Albany's Materials Strategy and organizational development for ALD, CVD, diffusion, epitaxy and thermal processing.
Drive technology readiness and process capability improvements for future technology insertions.
Sponsor high-risk, high-reward research initiatives and build strategic partnerships.
