Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long‑term care setting.
• Strong knowledge of Life Safety Code, NFPA, fire safety, emergency preparedness, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Experience with CMS/CDPH surveys and survey readiness.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and inspection/testing schedules.
• Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Ability to maintain organized, survey‑ready documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance and physical plant operations.
• Ensure facility compliance with CMS, CDPH, NFPA, OSHA, Life Safety Code and applicable requirements.
• Maintain survey readiness and address deficiencies promptly.
• Manage Life Safety documentation and testing logs.
• Oversee fire and life‑safety systems and emergency preparedness programs.
• Coordinate outside vendors, inspections, and repair projects.
• Perform in‑house repairs when possible to reduce costs.
• Develop corrective action plans after deficiencies are identified.
• Collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and other departments.
