Job summary

AKAM Living Services, Inc. in New York, NY seeks a Director of Learning & Development to advance enterprise learning and leadership capabilities across a distributed workforce.

The role partners with executives to translate business priorities into scalable learning solutions, leading enterprise initiatives and measuring impact to strengthen AKAM’s learning culture and overall performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in L&D/HR.
• 5+ years in learning and development or related fields.
• 3+ years leading L&D teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Designing learning across multi-site or distributed orgs.
• Knowledge of leadership development, adult learning, instructional design, facilitation.
• Ability to connect learning to business outcomes and operations.
• Experience with learning technology, analytics, and data-informed decisions.
• Executive communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinking with disciplined execution in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience in property management, real estate services, or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate priorities into a focused learning roadmap and actionable plans.
• Lead strategic L&D initiatives from design through measurement.
• Consult with leaders to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
• Balance enterprise consistency with regional needs.
• Lead programs strengthening manager and leadership capabilities.
• Provide tools for managers to reinforce learning on the job.
• Oversee onboarding, role-based learning, leadership development, compliance.
• Establish standards for high-quality, engaging learning experiences.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Finance, Technology, and others.
• Serve as trusted advisor to VP, L&D and senior leaders.
• Support organizational change through communication and stakeholder engagement.
