Job summary

AKAM, Dania Beach, FL, seeks a Director of Learning & Development to advance its enterprise learning strategy and build capabilities for leadership, performance, and operational excellence across a distributed workforce.

This role translates business priorities into scalable learning solutions, leads enterprise initiatives, and partners with senior leaders to measure impact and strengthen learning culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in learning and development, talent development, or related field.
• 3+ years leading learning professionals, teams, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience designing and implementing learning across multi-site organizations.
• Strong knowledge of leadership development, adult learning, and instructional design.
• Ability to connect learning initiatives to business outcomes.
• Experience with learning technology, analytics, vendors, and data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise priorities into a focused learning roadmap and actionable plans with the VP, L&D.
• Lead strategic L&D initiatives from design to implementation, adoption, and measurement.
• Consult with leaders to identify capability gaps and recommend solutions.
• Balance enterprise consistency with regional needs and frontline teams.
• Lead programs strengthening manager and leadership capabilities, including coaching and accountability.
• Equip managers with tools to reinforce learning and develop employees on the job.
• Oversee programs including onboarding, role-based learning, leadership development, compliance, and professional development.
• Establish standards for high-quality, practical, and engaging learning experiences.
• Collaborate across Operations, HR, Finance, Technology to deliver enterprise initiatives.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders.
