Job summary

EōS Fitness is seeking a Director of Learning & Development to lead the design, implementation, and scaling of all learning programs across the organization. You will drive onboarding, leadership development, compliance training, and cross‑functional collaboration to enable exceptional member experiences.

Remote role supporting a decentralized HQ with multi-state operations. Requires strong governance, people leadership of 15+ staff, and expertise in LMS and adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Learning and Development at manager/director level.
• 3 years in a leadership role managing field-based and administrative teams.
• Experience with governance and administrative standards.
• Experience leading learning through acquisitions, transformations, and rapid expansion; knowledge of LMS and digital learning platforms.
• Foundational knowledge of multi-state employment law, training compliance practices, and reporting requirements across diverse regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated experience as a people leader managing 15+ employees, including senior leaders and individual contributors.
• Experience designing and implementing employee development and training programs.
• Ability to assess organizational training needs and align learning strategies with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage field-based and administrative support teams, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
• Develop and execute the organization’s enterprise Learning & Development strategy, aligning initiatives with business goals and growth objectives.
• Design and oversee leadership development programs for frontline leaders, managers, and HQ team members.
• Support organizational change initiatives, acquisitions, and business transformations through effective learning strategies.
• Drive required training completion rates toward 100% within designated deadlines.
• Ensure training programs align with multi-state employment laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards, partnering with HR, Legal, and Operations to mitigate risk and maintain audit readiness across all markets.
• Partner cross-functionally with HR, Talent, and Operations to integrate training with key HR processes, including onboarding, performance management, and compliance tracking, ensuring alignment across the employee lifecycle.
• Oversee Learning Management System (LMS) administration, focusing on system performance, adoption, and the overall user experience.
• Lead compliance-driven training initiatives, with particular attention to California-specific regulatory requirements, CPR, and required certifications.
• Collaborate with department leaders to develop and deliver impactful training programs that address business and team needs.
• Drive learning strategy behind the scenes, enabling leaders and teams while continuously elevating learning standards across the organization.
