Job summary

Alpha seeks a Director of Learning & Development to lead a cohort of students and Guides in person in Raleigh, NC and other listed cities. You will coach, mentor, and develop a team while ensuring three outcomes: student enthusiasm, double-speed learning, and real-life skill mastery.

This is a full-time, W2 role offering $200,000 USD per year, paid weekly, with relocation assistance for eligible cities and comprehensive health coverage from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field.
• Proven leadership record managing teams of 5 or more individuals.
• Direct experience working with children ages 5–14 in educational contexts.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating one-hour interactive workshops on life skills and SEL for K-8 students using Alpha's framework.
• Conducting daily motivational sessions to propel students toward weekly milestones.
• Developing Guides through feedback and coaching to ensure energetic workshops.
• Analyzing Coachbot data and student records to identify needing support and provide it.
• Mentoring your student cohort and modeling the coaching techniques for Guides.
