Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks a Manager of Operational Excellence to lead lean transformation across the organization. You will drive performance improvement, develop and oversee continuous improvement programs, and coach senior leaders in lean daily management and strategic planning.

Responsibilities include guiding cross-functional teams, delivering cost-effective service improvements, and building a department of experts to sustain major change initiatives within a healthcare context.

Qualifications

• 7 years experience applying and implementing Lean and/or Six Sigma in healthcare-related settings, with leadership roles.
• Healthcare industry knowledge and experience.
• Experience coaching and mentoring senior executives in applying Lean to daily management systems, strategic planning and leader standard work.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience in Change Management—leader and developer of future change agents.

Responsibilities

• Directs the department and advances the agenda for bringing innovation and quality improvement thinking into the organization.
• Directs and provides oversight of performance improvement strategy in collaboration with the entity executive team.
• Directs and oversees the development, implementation and monitoring of continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
• Develops and/or encourages new ideas to foster continuous improvement across the organization.
• Ensures the highest quality of services and top decile performance is rendered to patients in a cost-effective manner.
• Manages complex improvement projects across multiple lines of business or departments.
• Advises senior management on industry trends and best practices.
• Responsible for education and promotion of Lean thinking across the organization.
