Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Director of Land Development to partner with the Division President to develop raw land and deliver lots for new communities.

You will manage budgets and oversee the installation of infrastructure such as roads, drainage and utilities, ensuring projects stay on time and within budget. The role requires experience in land development, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed to advance project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Seven to ten years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for land development projects including entrances, lots, amenities and infrastructure.
• Lead teams across design, planning, engineering and development for community projects.
• Collaborate with the Land Development team on cost estimates, schedules and due diligence.
