Job summary

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, collaborating with IT Systems Administrator, end-user support, and cybersecurity leaders to build a sustainable internal IT function.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IT operations/infrastructure experience, including leadership of IT functions or major initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure, cloud environments, IAM, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms.
• Experience in small/midsize organizations, growing or acquisition-driven contexts, with evolving processes and limited resources.
• Experience budgeting, vendor management, licensing, assets, and external service providers.
• Ability to balance hands-on work with leadership, prioritization, and team development.
• Experience implementing or improving security controls, business continuity, backup/recovery, documentation, and change management.
• Strong communication to explain risks, business impact, costs, and priorities to executives and nontechnical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal IT roadmap aligned with growth and acquisition plans.
• Own reliable, secure, cost-effective IT operations including infrastructure, IAM, endpoints, and collaboration platforms.
• Lead IT acquisition assessments and integration planning with inventories, dependencies, risks, costs, and sequencing.
• Establish target tech environment and execute phased migrations ensuring business continuity.
• Contribute to technical assessments, troubleshooting, solution design, and critical implementation work.
• Remove roadblocks, provide practical support, and ensure IT services enable business delivery to clients.
• Manage IT budgets, vendors, licensing, assets, and service agreements.
• Partner with cybersecurity leadership to define responsibilities for security controls and compliance.
• Establish documentation, change management, backups, and service performance measures.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT/CS or related field
