Job summary

Koniag Tech seeks a Director of Information Technology to lead IT strategy and operations during a period of acquisition-driven growth. You will own the technology roadmap, budget, vendor relationships, and integration of acquired IT environments.

The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution, partnering with cybersecurity and IT teams to build a scalable internal IT function and ensure business momentum.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT operations or systems administration.
• Experience leading IT functions or major initiatives.
• Hands-on with infrastructure, cloud environments, IAM, endpoints, and collaboration tools.
• Experience in growing or acquisition-driven environments.
• Strong communication with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an internal IT roadmap aligned with growth and acquisitions.
• Own reliable, secure, and cost-effective internal IT operations, including infrastructure, identity and access, endpoints, collaboration platforms, and user support.
• Lead IT acquisition assessments and integration planning, including inventories, dependencies, risks, costs, and migration sequencing.
• Establish a target technology environment and execute phased migrations maintaining business continuity.
• Contribute to technical assessments, troubleshooting, solution design, and critical implementation work.
• Prioritize enabling employees and delivery teams by removing roadblocks and providing practical support.
• Manage IT budgets, vendors, licensing, assets, and service agreements.
• Partner with cybersecurity leadership to define responsibilities for security controls and incident response.
• Establish documentation, change management, backup/recovery practices, and service performance measures.
• Develop the existing IT Systems Administrator and plan staffing mix.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal systems while managing phased improvements.
• Communicate priorities, costs, integration progress, and risks to executive leadership.
