Responsibilities

• IT Infrastructure Oversight: Lead enterprise infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, data centers, and cloud operations.
• MSP Management & Transition: Oversee outsourced IT providers and lead the transition toward a hybrid internal IT operating model.
• Team Leadership: Manage infrastructure engineers, IT project managers, and systems engineers while overseeing distributed onshore/offshore teams.

Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead and optimize enterprise technology infrastructure, cloud operations, security, and IT service delivery across a global environment. This role will focus heavily on Microsoft 365, Azure, enterprise networking, data center operations, and managed service provider (MSP) oversight while driving the transition from outsourced IT services to a hybrid internal operating model. The Director will lead distributed infrastructure and operations teams, manage vendor relationships, oversee IT service delivery, and drive strategic initiatives including M&A integrations, cloud migrations, data center buildouts, and infrastructure modernization. This individual will work closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, strengthen security and compliance, and ensure reliable technology services. The ideal candidate brings extensive IT infrastructure leadership experience, strong technical expertise across Microsoft technologies and enterprise networking, proven success managing MSP relationships and global teams, and the ability to translate complex technical initiatives into measurable business outcomes.
