MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking a Director of Inventory Strategy & Optimization in Davidson, NC. You will own and drive inventory optimization, partnering with BU Category teams, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to align inventory with demand and profitability goals.

Responsibilities include leading ABC/XYZ segmentation, service levels, and replenishment policies, while advancing network design and cost efficiency. You will manage a team, set governance, and drive analytics adoption.

Formación

• 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, inventory management, planning, or network optimization.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Deep experience with inventory optimization, replenishment, and planning systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale inventory transformation initiatives.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and commercial organizations.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain enterprise inventory strategies to optimize working capital, inventory turns, and service levels.
• Establish inventory policies and segmentation frameworks across fulfillment centers and regional centers.
• Lead stocking strategies including ABC/XYZ segmentation, service level differentiation, and replenishment policies.
• Evaluate deployment decisions balancing transportation costs, inventory investment, and customer service.
• Partner with network optimization teams to align inventory placement with future-state design.
• Serve as business owner for Blue Yonder Inventory Optimization and Allocation & Replenishment capabilities.
