Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Director of Inventory Management in Manhattan, NY for a hybrid role. You will lead enterprise-wide inventory strategies and optimize accuracy, turns, and control across a global distribution network.

You will own SOX compliance, drive inventory governance, and build dashboards and KPIs while partnering with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and IT to enhance ERP/WMS systems. A senior leadership position with impactful visibility.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in inventory management or related roles.
• 5+ years in leadership of inventory/warehouse teams.
• Experience with cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and audits.
• Knowledge of SOX, inventory valuation, and compliance.
• Hands-on ERP/WMS experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide inventory strategies.
• Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, turns, and excess stock reduction.
• Lead cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations and audits.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and support financial reporting.
• Own inventory SOX controls and audits compliance.
• Develop inventory dashboards, KPIs and reporting tools.
• Establish inventory governance, policies and SOPs.
• Review adjustments, write-offs and scrap transactions.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Operations and IT to optimize ERP/WMS.
• Lead continuous improvement for inventory optimization.
• Build and mentor a high-performing inventory team.
