Job summary

Saks Global in the United States is seeking a Director of Commercial Accounting to lead the inventory portfolio and margin strategy across owned, consignment, and dropship models. This role partners with Merchandising, Supply Chain and Store Operations to drive GAAP‑compliant controls and insightful margin analyses.

You will guide strategic finance, analytics, and system transformations, including ERP and IMS/OMS integrations, to safeguard profitability across all channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience, with 4–5 years in a managerial or director role within retail or consumer goods preferred.
• Executive Presence and cross‑functional collaboration with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Inventory Leadership: oversee inventory valuation, margins, COGS, and reporting per US GAAP;partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain.
• Financial Governance: lead month/quarter/year-end close related to inventory and reserves; manage external audit relationships.
• Systems Transformation: drive ERP/IMS/OMS upgrades and landed-costing automation; implement cross-banner reporting.
• Team Leadership: build and mentor a high‑performing inventory and margin accounting team.
