Job summary

Exemplar Luxury Group seeks a Director of Commercial Accounting to lead the inventory portfolio, owned and consignment models, and margins across luxury retail channels. You will bridge Finance, Merchandising, and Supply Chain, ensuring strong controls and insightful analytics for profitability and liquidity.

You will direct end-to-end close processes, partner with executives, and drive system transformations (ERP/IMS/OMS/POS) with a focus on landed-costing and margin optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership.
• 4–5 years in a managerial/director retail finance role.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory and gross margin accounting and related reserves.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes for inventory and margins.
• Manage external audits for inventory valuation, shrinkage, and obsolescence.
• Partner with Merchandising and Supply Chain to optimize margins and inventory aging.
• Drive ERP, IMS, OMS, and POS initiatives and landed-costing automation.
